Willie Houston Whisenhunt, 81, of Old Mill Farm Road, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Good Hope United Methodist Church, where he was a member, by the Rev. Chris Bennett. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Whisenhunt was born July 23, 1927, in Forsyth County to William Houston Whisenhunt and Sarah Tetter Whisenhunt. He was retired from Dixie Furniture Company.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Lee Hege Whisenhunt of the home; daughters Debbie Ribelin of Lexington and Patricia Aldridge of Thomasville; five grandchildren, Joseph Aldridge, Staff Sgt. Andrew Aldridge, Leslie Boudousquie, Terri Scott and Emily Aldridge; three great-grandchildren, Kyara Scott, Chelan Scott and Drew Aldridge; and sisters Mamie Powell and Mary Keaton, both of Lexington.
