Patsy Whisnant Deitz

Mrs. Deitz, 76, of Charlotte passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Avante Nursing Home.

She was born January 20, 1932 in Charlotte, daughter of the late David and Mary Whisnant. Mrs. Deitz graduated from Central High School.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, L. G. Deitz, Jr., and son, Dan Deitz, both of Charlotte: two grandchildren, Daniel Deitz, Jr., of Charlotte and Jennifer Deitz of Durham; two sisters, Jenny Deitz of Charlotte, Frankie Clark and her husband, Richard of Denver, NC; and one brother, Cy Whisnant and his wife Debbie of Lakeland, FL.

The family would like to express its deep appreciation to the staff at Avante Nursing Home in Charlotte for the comfort, compassion, love and care they provided to Patsy in her final year and a half.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Harry & Bryant Company, 500 Providence Road, Charlotte. A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at the Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum, 5400 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC, with interment following. The Reverend Steven Lorimer will be officiating.
