Guy A. Whisenant, 86

Guy A. Whisenant of Brownwood formerly of Rockwood, Texas passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 7:50 a.m. at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Rockwood Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Dean officiating under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna.

Guy was born July 25, 1920 in Burke County, North Carolina to the late Eli Morrison and Lucinda Whisenant. He was raised in North Carolina where he graduated from school. Guy served his country in the U. S. Army and Air Force during World War II. He retired in 1982 from North American Aircraft and Rockwell International and had been a resident of Coleman County since 1992. On December 25, 1993 Guy married Dorothea Longenecker in Brownwood and they celebrated ten years of marriage. Dorothea preceded him in death in 2004. Guy was a member of the Nazarene Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Lambert of Florida; and one son, Guy Andrew Whisenant, Jr. of North Carolina; and 5 grandchildren.
