Obituary in THE STATE, Columbia, SC, 29 Sep 2001: Services for Charles Samuel Whisenhunt Sr., 66, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. George Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 7-9 this evening at Thompson Funeral Home. Mr. Whisenhunt died Friday, September 28, 2001. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Imogene Davis Whisenhunt of Cope; sons, Charley Whisenhunt, Toney Whisenhunt, both of Cope, son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Elise Whisenhunt of Gibsonville, N.C.; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Randy Smith of Belton; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Frances Whisenhunt of Cope; caregiver, Daryl Cate of Sevierville, Tenn. and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Whisenhunt.
