Janet Ruth Whisenant

LIBERAL, Kan. - Janet Ruth Whisenant, 68, died Monday, April 12, 2010.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in First Christian Church in Liberal with the Rev. David Randall, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. in Fairmont Cemetery with Brother Clay Wells officiating. Arrangements are by Scotty Schilling Funeral Director of Follett, Texas.

Mrs. Whisenant was born Feb. 10, 1942, on a red dirt farm in Major County in Fairview, Okla., to Robert Dan and Joella Woods Bromlow. She enjoyed camping, fishing and playing bingo.

Survivors include her special friend, Don Hatfield; a daughter, Ronda Schilling of Follett; two grandchildren; a brother, Bob Bromlow of Amarillo, Texas; and two sisters, Velva Perkins and Nancy Flick, both of Ratliff City, Okla.

The family suggests memorials be to a charity of choice.
