Betty J. Kincaid Whisnant July 17, 1929 - September 2, 2008 SMITHS STATION, AL — Betty J. Kincaid Whisnant, 79 of Smiths Station, AL went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday September 2, 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Skip Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. EDT at the funeral home. Mrs. Whisnant was born July 17, 1929 in Morganton, NC and was the daughter of the late Harvey E. Kincaid and Viola Moody Kincaid. She was a homemaker, loved art painting, and was a member of Smiths Station Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Stewart Whisnant of Smiths Station, AL; daughters, Cathy Murphy and her husband Rodney Blake Murphy of Columbus, GA and Mary Eggie; five grandchildren, Jason, Kevin, Brandon, Christopher, and Ashley; five great grandchildren; her loving church family and many friends.
