Lola Whisenant

Mrs. Lola Freeman Whisenant, 80, of Salem Road, died Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at Grace Hospital. She was born in Burke County and was daughter of the late Carl Freeman and Annie Mae McGhinnis Freeman. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Whisenant; son, Robert David Whisenant; daughter, Belinda Robin Feeback and brothers, James Freeman, Ned Freeman and Earnest Freeman.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Farr and husband, Ken, of Highland, Michigan, Ruby Gentry of Morganton, Louise Davis and husband, David, of Hopewell, Va. and Rita Semones and husband, Neil, of Conover, N.C.; sisters, Elsie Miller of Morganton, Lucy Branch of Connelly Springs, Virginia Lefevers, Grace Robinson and Gladys Ross all of Drexel; brothers, Billy Freeman and Ray Freeman both of Morganton; 21 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at Burke Memorial Park.
