Morris Whisnant
Morris “Vaughan” Whisnant, 59, of Blythe died Friday, Dec. 27, 2002 at the VA Medical Center in Augusta. His funeral service was 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, at DeLoach-Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel in Hephzibah, with the Rev. Mike Andrews officiating. Burial was in the Blythe United Methodist Church Cemetery in Blythe.
Mr. Whisnant, a native of Blythe, had lived in Richmond County all of his life. He was an Independent Baptist. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Garland Whisnant. Survivors include his widow, Ann Whisnant of Blythe; seven daughters, Debra Hancock of Hephzibah, Faye Whisnant, Melissa Whisnant, Sissie Whis-nant and Crystal Whisnant, all of Blythe, Ruby Whisnant of Appling and Connie Thomas of Folkston; two sons, Ronnie Whisnant of Blythe and Bobby Whisnant of Augusta; two sisters, Joyce Wiggins of McBean and Mary Wilkens of Heph-zibah; two brothers, Billy Whis-nant of Hephzibah and Johnny Whisnant of Waynesboro; his father, Morris L. Whisnant of Augusta; and 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
