The funeral of Mrs. Viola Parker, wife of C M Parker, who died at a local hospital Sunday evening at eight o'clock after an illness of several months, was held from the home of Mr. Parker's mother, Mrs. L D Parker, 619 Ridge Avenue, this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock by Rev. E E Williamson and Rev. J S Hyatt. Internment followed at Union Ridge Cemetery, about three miles south of the city.

Mrs. Parker was twenty four years of age, and besides her husband, is survived by a small daughter, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. William Whisenhunt of this city, four sisters, Mrs. Hattie Burton of Lexington, and Misses Mary, Minnie, and Jesse Whisenhunt of Winston-Salem, three brothers Edgar, Thomas, and William of this city.
