Obituary in THE POST AND COURIER, Charleston, SC, 1 Jun 1995: Orangeburg - Bonnie Whisenhunt Davis, 76, died Wednesday at her residence. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Northside Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Thompson Funeral Home, will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Davis was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of Louis P. Whisenhunt and Elizabeth H. Black Whisenhunt. She was an active member of Northside Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Bennie Harry Davis; two daughters, Sherry Sprott of Columbia and Elaine Bryant of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sons, Harry A. Davis of Columbia and H. Gene Black of Milstead, Ga.; a sister, Ruth Spears of College Park, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
