JACKSBORO – Joyce Watson, 74, of Jacksboro, Texas, died Oct. 18, 2006, in Jacksboro.

Service is 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at Coker Funeral Home Chapel with Eugene Weldon officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday evening.

She was born Oct. 5, 1932, in Jack County, Texas, to William Harley and Mary Jane (Sutton) Pankey. She married Johnny Howard Watson on April 4, 1953, in Dallas, Texas. She was a home health nursing attendant. She was a member of Live Oak Baptist Church of Jacksboro, Texas, VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include two daughters, Marry Janette Robinson and Avril Beatrice Moore of Jacksboro, Texas; five sons, Donal V. Whisenhunt and Bruce W. Watson of Mineral Wells, Clyde E. Watson of Jacksboro, Lonnie G. Watson of Mineral Wells and Hugh L. Watson of Jacksboro; one sister, Nadine Tucker of Joplin; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnny Howard Watson Sr; daughter. Marion Joyce Watson; son, Johnny Howard Watson Jr.; three sisters, Cleora Anderson, Avril Sartain and Hazel Steves; two brothers, John Pankey and Hugh L. Pankey; and first husband, Al Whisenhunt.
