Judy Whisnant
Judy Ann Hadaway Whisnant, 49, of Jefferson, died Sunday, July 10, 2005.
She was the daughter of the late James and Laverne Womack Hadaway and was a homemaker. Mrs. Whisnant was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Whisnant.
Survivors include her husband, U.V. Whisnant, Jefferson; two daughters, Jennifer Renee Whisnant and April Denise Whisnant, both of Jefferson; two sons, Jimmy Dwayne Whisnant, Athens, and Michael Shane Whisnant, Jefferson; seven sisters, Louise Bradshaw, Monroe, Shirley Woods and Patty Hadaway, both of Florida, Marie Jones and Brenda Casey, both of Monroe, Peggy Frady, Indiana, and Sheila Canup, Statham; a brother, James Hadaway, Bogart; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 13, in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Hoyt Johnson officiating. Pallbearers were Danny Bradshaw, James Casey, Robert Whisnant, Doug Canup, Bo Whisnant and Jeff Cowart. Burial was in the Hill Haven Cemetery in Monroe.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, was in charge of arrangements.

Walter Myrick, Jr.
Walter Alexander Myrick, Jr., 62, of Jefferson, died Saturday, July 9, 2005, following a sudden illness.
He was born on March 13, 1943, in Boston, Mass., and was the son of the late Walter Alexander Myrick, Sr. and Florinda Luiz Myrick. He was a retired warehouse manager and was a veteran having served in the United States Navy.
Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Myrick, Calif., Scott Myrick and James and Jamie Myrick, all of Jefferson; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A private memorial service will be held in California at a later date.
