James Whisenant

Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27 at Bethel Baptist Church in the Crossroads community for James Whisenant, 84, of Poplarville who died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, in Poplarville.

The Rev. Tim Sanderson officiates at the service. Burial is in Baughman Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of Philadelphia, he was the owner of a grocery store in the Buck Branch community and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna Perkins of Picayune; a brother, Carvel Whisenant of Morton; a sister, Lucille Seitz of Yucca Valley, Calif.; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
