James Elmer Whisenant
James Elmer Whisenant, 95 of Ringgold, GA., died Friday, October 15, 2004 in a local hospital. He was a native of Catoosa County, but had lived in Atlanta for many years where he was a longtime member of Mt. Paran Church of God. Mr. Whisenant was currently a member of the Ringgold Church of God. He was a retired businessman and was preceded in death by his first wife, Mereta Colbert Whisenant and his second wife, Irene Clements Whisenant.
Survivors are a step son, Bruce Clements, Atlanta; step daughters, Cynthia Anne McCluhan, Atlanta; and Amelia Rose Clements from Birmingham, AL; step grandchildren, Allison M. Diaz, Atlanta; Jonathan L. McCluhan, Arizona; great nephew, Skip Rominger, Ringgold.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe, GA., with Rev. Carroll Allen officiating. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Atlanta.
