Irene Whisenhunt Reid

REID EAST BEND - Mrs. Irene Whisenhunt Reid, 76, of East Bend, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Forsyth County on April 14, 1933 to Sam and Matty Ridings Whisenhunt. Mrs. Reid was a member of Calvary Holliness Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Zeno Reid; and by her brothers, Early (Vera) Whisenhunt, James (Lilian) Whisenhunt, and Lee (Viola) Whisenhunt. Surviving are her sons, Roger (Kathy) Whisenhunt and Albert (Shirley) Reid; grandchildren, Chris Adams and Chloe Moore; and dear friends, Sue Ramos, and Lee and Myrtle DeBusk. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Huff Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lee DeBusk and the Rev. Norwood Green officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 28 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Huff Funeral Home.
