Mary Virginia Huckaby Whisnant

DALLAS, TX-Mary Virginia Huckaby Whisnant, 89, passed away peacefully in Dallas, Texas with her three children by her side on August 11, 2008 after a brief illness. She was a loving Christian wife and mother. She was born and raised in Bossier City and was a member of Airline and First Baptist Churches. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel with Rev. Sonny DePrang officiating.

Mrs. Whisnant was preceded in death by her husband Robert A. Whisnant, father George C. Huckaby, mother Earline Huckaby, brother Neil Huckaby, and sisters Ruby Harbuck, Mamie Watson, Fannie Mae Huckaby, Lauree Murray, and Thelma Ruth Montgomery.

She is survived by her three children; Robert A. Whisnant, Jr. of Dallas, twins Denise and Deborah Whisnant of Dallas and Tallahassee, Florida, her brother George C. Huckaby, sister Annie Lloyd Hall and nieces and nephews.
