Roena "Fluffy" Whisenant passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2008.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Calvario Funeral Chapel (formerly Shannon North). Interment: 2 p.m. Thursday in Lower Greens Creek Cemetery, Dublin. Visitation: Roena will lie in state noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with her family receiving friends 6 to 8 p.m.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, N.C. Whisenant; daughter, Mary Whisenant Culwell; brother, Weldon Hudson; and her parents, Mac and Delphia Hudson.

Survivors: Son, Johnny Whisenant and wife, Donna; daughters, Nancy Wertz and husband, Bob, Barbara Carter and husband, Ronnie, and Judy Jech and husband, Victor; son-in-law, Jim Culwell; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
