Mr. Hubert Whisnant

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest on March 26, 2006 at Keysville Nursing Home, Mr. Hubert Manuel Whisnant, 94, husband of Paris Rabun Whisnant and the late Mattie Lee Whisnant. Mr. Whisnant was born in Hall County, GA and lived most of his life in the Augusta area. He was a former member of the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. He retired from Graniteville Co. as a maintenance worker. Additional survivors include his sons: Lawrence Whisnant of Augusta and Julius Whisnant of Blythe, GA, daughters: Trudy Bartlett of Tullahoma, TN, Virginia Harris of Augusta, Sarah Roberts of Hephzibah, Carolyn Carter of Evans and Ruby Morris of Martinez, 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, brothers: Thomas Whisnant, Morris Whisnant and Russell Whisnant all of Augusta and one sister: Georgia Pearl Farr of Augusta. He was preceded in death by his daughters: Mary Pirus and Barbara Seago. Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors with Rev. Lloyd Green officiating. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Harvey Hayes, Robert A. Reimer, Tommy McGlohon, Guy Morgan, Duke Williamson and Gerald Kicklighter. Interment will follow in Mt.
