Ruth Whisenant Beaty

Mrs. Beaty, 95, of Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road, died April 26, 2005 at Charlotte HeaIth Care. She was a native of Richmond, VA and was daughter of the late Walter Lee and Daisy Sams Whisenant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyt Beaty.

Mrs. Beaty was retired from Leaksville Woolen Mills, a member of Cooks Memorial Presbyterian Church, and was very active in church activities.

She is survived by her children, Doyt W. Beaty, Jr. of Charlotte and Judie Pinkelton and husband, Russell, of Charlotte; grandson, Doyt 'Wess' Plnkelton and wife, Buffy, of Stanley; great granddaughter, Baylee Ann Pinkelton of Stanley; and sisters, Dolly Black of Charlotte and Dot Lybrand of Weddington.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. T. J. Thompson 2:00 PM Thursday at Cooks Memorial Presbyterian Church, with the burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Cooks Memorial Presbyterian Church, 3413 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road, Charlotte, NC 28216.
