Bennie Mae Springs Whisnant, 98, of 1813 Oakwood Avenue, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2009 at The Laurels of Forest Glenn, in Garner, NC. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Martin Street Baptist Church, 1001 E. Martin St., preceded by an 11:30 a.m. visitation. Interment at Carolina Biblical Gardens. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Clarice Springs; nieces, Hilda Taylor (Donald), Sharon Springs and Shelia Springs, all of Raleigh; nephews, Aaron Springs, Jr. (Rowena), Jackie Springs (Louise), Jimmie Springs (Darlene), Daniel Springs, Michael Springs (Kimberly) all of Raleigh; James Springs (Rose), Upper Marboro, MD, dearest friends, Sue Buehlman, Lewis and Elizabeth Strong; and a host of other relatives, friends and caretakers.
