GAFFNEY, SC-- Genelle Fowler Bolf, 63, of 668 Buck Shoals Road, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 1, 2006 at her residence.
Born in Cowpens, SC, she was the wife of Stephen Bolf and daughter of Leroy Fowler and stepdaughter of Ovelia Fowler of Gaffney and daughter of the late Edisto Reynolds Fowler. She was employed as an Administrative Assistant for USC Upstate where she was named Classified Employee of the Year in August, 2002. Mrs. Bolf was a faithful member of Cherokee Creek Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher.
Also surviving are two sons, Kevin Whisenant and wife Melanie and Kenneth Whisenant and wife Suzanne; two stepsons, Stephen D. Bolf and wife Connie and Scott A. Bolf and wife Renae, all of Gaffney; one stepdaughter, Tracy S. Ruppe and husband Ricky of Gaffney; one brother, Kenneth (Keat) Fowler and wife Judy of Gaffney; one sister, Sue Ann Ivey and husband Sammy of Gaffney; seven grandchildren, Blake Whisenant, Whitney Whisenant, Greyson Jones, Devin Bolf, Kayla Bolf, Ashley Sprouse, and Adam Ruppe. She was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Darrell Whisenant.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 1:00 PM at Cherokee Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mike Frazier. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the cemetery.

The family will be at the residence and also at the home of Kenneth and Suzanne Whisenant, at 193 Cherokee Creek Road, Gaffney, SC.
