William C. "Bill" Whisenant

Entered into rest Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, Mr. William C. "Bill" Whisenant, 87, of Aiken, husband of Willie Nelle Black Whisenant and son of the late William P. Whisenant and the late Lola Mae Fulmer Whisenant. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Shirley W. Glisson and spouse, Jerry Glisson of Graniteville; two grandchildren, Kathy S. Holley and spouse, Billy Holley, Michael Sheppard and spouse, Brigitte; four great-grandchildren, Seth Holley and Zachary Holley, Kristin Sheppard and Jessica Sheppard; two stepsons, Billy Golden of North Carolina and Bobby Golden of North Augusta; four step-grandchildren, Cristy Shuford, Jill Golden, Frank Golden and Tiffany Miller; six step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edward Whisenant of Warrenville and Bob Whisenant of Graniteville and four sisters, Erline Walker, Jean Bahlhorn and Gail Simpson all of Graniteville, and Ellen Arthur of Warrenville. He was born in Graniteville and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. He was retired from DuPont. He worked for Valley Coaches, Inc for year, was Game Warden for Aiken County and was a Ham radio operator. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Riley officiating. The internment will follow in the Graniteville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Bill Simpson, Patrick Simpson, Bill Scott, Charles Whisenant, Steve Whisenant, Jody Whisenant, Mike Whisenant and Billy Goff.
