Lucille Whisnant Maddox
Mr. and Mrs. William Marvin Maddox of Juliette, Ga., and two of their children, Sherry Ann, 9, and Linda Sue, 7, entered into to rest as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident Sunday, September 10, 1967, near Macon, Ga. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Crawford Avenue Church of God. The Rev. Larry Ball will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Edward L. Williams. Burial will be in Harlem Cemetery, Harlem, Ga. Pallbearers will be Tim Whisnant, Danny Garrard, Jackie Beasley, Wayne Whisnant, Baron Benson and Clarence Beasley. Survivors include three children, Randolph, Ophelia and Cynthia Maddox, all of the home. In addition to her children, Mrs. Maddox, 31, the former Lucille Whisnant, is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. U.V. Whisnant; seven brothers, Hubert Whisnant, Oscar Whisnant, Osby Whisnant, Hoyt Whisnant, Morris Whisnant, Clifford Whisnant and Russell Whisnant; two sisters, Mrs. Rosena Garrard and Mrs. Pearl Farr; and several nieces and nephews, all of Augusta. Her husband, 39, in addition to children, is survived by his father, Joseph C. Maddox; two brothers, Daniel Maddox and J.T. Maddox; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Beasley and Mrs. Lucille Green; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, all of Augusta. Elliott Sons.
