James Whisnant

James Whisenant, 42, of Shirley Street, Connelly Springs, died, Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008. James was born in Burke County on June, 28, 1965, and was a son of Zula Randolph Whisenant and the late Robert Whisenant. James owned and operated J & W Auto in Hickory for a number of years. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. James is survived by daughters, Melissa W. Dillingham and husband, Dustin, of Valdese, Kimberly W. Chavez of Newton, Stephanie Whisenant and Brittany Whisenant, both of Valdese; grandchildren, Calobe Dillingham, Serenity Dillingham and Landon Dillingham, all of Valdese; a brother, Rhodney Whisenant; and by sisters, Jeannie Whisenant and Doris Abernathy, all of Morganton. No services are planned at this time.
