Lois Whisenant

Lois Whisenant, 88, of Huntsville passed away Tuesday.

Lois was a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Whisenant; parents, Walter and Maggie Wilson; and seven sisters.

Survivors include daughters, Glenda Smallwood and husband Richard, Susan Brown and husband Frank, and Rosemary Rogers and husband Butch, all of Huntsville; sisters, Grace Young of Morgan County, and Evelyn Campbell of North Carolina; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel with Dr. Arthur Hugh Criscoe and Pastor Bob Blackburn officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Morgan City.
