Steven Lee Whisonant

(August 17, 1951 - November 9, 2008)

Fort Mill – Mr. Steven Lee Whisonant, 57, of 3165 West Highway 160, died Sunday, November 9, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at Fort Mill Church of the Nazarene with Pastors Aubrey Smith and Mickey Smith officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Unity Cemetery.

A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Whisonant was a son of the late Otis Laxton and Roxie Munn Whisonant. He worked several years for JP Stevens and he also worked as a Pipe Fitter for various companies. He was an avid carp fisherman.

Surviving are his son, Bill Whisonant of Fort Mill; two daughters, Stacy Reid of Fort Mill and Tara Clinton of Rock Hill; three brothers, Dean Whisonant, Max Whisonant both of Rock Hill and Keith Whisonant of Charlotte, NC,; one sister, Evan Whisonant of Murrells Inlet, SC; six grandchildren, Scott Whisonant, Anton Richter, Taylor Sutton, Lane Clinton, Trista Reid, and Zachary Reid; and one great grandchild, Mia Whisonant.
