Gwendolyn Whisenhunt Sellers

Gwendolyn W. Sellers, age 85, of Gatesville, Texas, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2009, at a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Ater Cemetery.

Gwendolyn was born in Ater, Texas, to the late Ruel and Vera Timmons Whisenhunt. She attended school in Ater and Jonesboro. Gwendolyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church for 51 years. She married Jack Sellers on January 1, 1942. She was a bookkeeper for 27 years at the State School for Boys. Gwendolyn was an unbelievable seamstress and loved her garden and yard work. She worked at the Gatesville Care Center for many years.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Jack Sellers; sister, LaRue Hopson and husband, Gayle; several nieces and nephews; and many loved ones and friends.
