Carlos Whisenhunt
Carlos Clifton Whisenhunt (Jack), age 84, went to be with the Lord February 11, 2009. Jack was born on June 10, 1924 in Gatesville Texas to Claude and Jewel Whisenhunt. He served his country in the United States Air Force during World War II and participated in the Berlin Air Lift where he met and married his sweetheart, Charlotte. Jack retired after 23 years of military service. He was a Master Mason, member of Harlandale Masonic Lodge 1313 AF&AM; a distinguished Fellow of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, member of Chapters 15 & 124; and expert clock repairmen. He and his wife Charlotte have owned and operated Charlott's Antiques since 1966. Jack's passion was collecting and repairing clocks. Papa, as he was known to his grandchildren, was a loving, caring, and giving man. He was predeceased in death by his and Charlotte's baby daughter, Barbara Ann. He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 60 years, Charlotte; his son Gary Wayne Whisenhunt and wife Marie; daughter Marion Ellen Richardson and husband John Michael; daughter Janet Lynn Whisenhunt; and grandchildren Katherine Stern and husband Ryan, Jack Richardson, Alex Whisenhunt and wife Tiffany, Cali Leopold, Ginny Whisenhunt, James Leopold II, and Sterling Leopold. The family would like to give their sincere appreciation to the following individuals and organizations who have shown kindness, comfort and professionalism throughout the past year. Funeral Services will be held Monday Feb. 16, 2009.
