Fannie Lorene Whisenant

Fannie Lorene Whisenant, 94, passed away Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, in Iowa Park, Texas.

Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, at First Baptist Church in Holliday, Pastor Darryl Sewell officiating. Interment followed at Holliday Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.

Fannie was born Aug. 4, 1910, in Maud, Okla., and moved to Holliday with her family in 1926. She married Earl W. Whisenant on Aug. 4, 1928. Fannie worked for the Holliday school for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl, of 59 years, three sisters, and two brothers.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty Trosper and husband Jim and Corene Williams; son, Earl Whisenant and wife Margie, all of Holliday, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
