Sarah A. Whisenhunt

JOHNSON CITY -- Sarah Ann Whisenhunt, 81, of 2448 Sandy Drive, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at the home of a daughter in Philadelphia, Tenn.

She was born in Watauga County, N.C., a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Coleman Lunceford and lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was of the Baptist faith, a homemaker and the widow of Cart Whisenhunt.

Surviving are six daughters, Betty Bright of Philadelphia, Tenn., Cathy Lady of Bluff City, Lillie Graybeal, DeLois Campbell and Ina Ramirez, all of Johnson City, and Linda Davis of Erwin, Tenn.; and a son, William Evans of Erwin; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 8 p.m. in Morris-Baker South Chapel. The Revs. Bill Christian and Ralph Crass will officiate. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Monte Vista Burial Park. Those attending should meet at the funeral home by 1:40 p.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.

Mrs. Whisenhunt was also preceded in death by a daughter; three brothers; and three sisters.

Pallbearers will be Stan Lady, Junior Wishon, Ron Bright, Travis Evans, Travis Harris and Chad Davis. Honorary pallbearer will be Cody Whisenhunt.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday in Morris-Baker Funeral Home.
