FRANKLIN PFAFFTOWN - Evelyn Mae Whisenhunt Franklin April 20, 1928 May 9, 2009 Our beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter of John and Nannie Whisenhunt and most gracious friend to all, passed peacefully at home to a beautiful paradise of no more pain and struggles after a long, but bittersweet road of Alzheimer' s. Mom will be forever in our hearts and souls and our angel to watch over us all from Heaven above. You are so very loved by everyone, Mom. You were a dedicated lady who made taking care of your family a priority in your life. We will all miss your delicious cooking and the loving care that you showed each of us. Gone before you are your parents; and two brothers, Frank Whisenhunt and Buck Whisenhunt. Surviving are: the most devoted husband of 63 years, John Oliver Franklin; two sons, Wayne (Anne) Franklin and Rick Franklin; a daughter, Jan Franklin Fowler; two brothers, Shot Whisenhunt and Edgar Whisenhunt; and many more dear family and friends. A Private Service Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Franklin will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, at the Frank Vogler & Sons Reynolda Road Chapel. A sincere thank you to all of the wonderful caregivers over the years, including Elizabeth and Tab Williams Day Care, Senior Services, and Hospice.
