Gladys Julian Whisnand

IOWA PARK – Gladys Julian Hampton Whisnand, 88, of Iowa Park died Thursday, July 23, 1998, in Wichita Falls.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Iowa Park Church of Christ with Dwight Parker, minister of Church of Christ of Grandfield, Okla., officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Whisnand was born May 30, 1910, in Round Timber, Texas. She and Homer Guy Whisnand were married Nov. 21, 1930, in Walters, Okla. He died Dec. 15, 1993. She was a beautician and was a member of Iowa Park Church of Christ. A daughter, Doris Jean, died in 1932. A daughter, Sybil Ruth Leslie, died in 1982.

Survivors include a granddaughter, Debra Smith of New Caney, Texas; two grandsons, Cleve and Steve Brock, both of Houston; and five great-grandchildren.
