William Edgar Whisenant

W. E. Whisenant, Baptist minister, died in a hospital in Shreveport Thursday morning, after an illness of ten days and was buried at Union Cemetery, five miles east of Winnfield Friday afternoon, Rev. W. M. Grice conducting the services.
Rev. Whisenant was taken ill at his home near Joyce, about ten days ago, and soon after being carried to the Shreveport hospital on Saturday, January 22, he developed pneumonia from which he succumbed Thursday, January 27.
He was 47 years of age and was ordained to the ministry about ten years ago and at the time of his death was a faithful member of Union Church.
The deceased is survived by his wife and two brothers, William Whisenant of Bossier City, and S. T. Whisenant of Winnfield, several half-brothers, and a large number of relatives.
