William Whisnant

SHELBY - Mr. William Bernard Whisnant, 36, of 1810 Quail Run Drive, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Britthaven of Morganton.

A native of Cleveland County, he was born May 25, 1963, the son of Annie Thurman Whisnant of Lawndale and the late William George (Bud) Whisnant. He was employed by Metrolina Plastics Inc. and a member of Palmer Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Denise Parks Whisnant; one son, LaQuintay Bernard Whisnant; one daughter, Alicia Neshea Whisnant, all of the home; three brothers, Larry Thurman of Lawndale, Bruce Whisnant and Tony Whisnant, both of Shelby; four sisters, Lois Woods of Polkville, Renee Watkins and Lora Thurman of Lawndale, and Chella Whisnant of Shelby; his mother-in-law, Virginia Parks of Lawndale; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The funeral will be at Palmer Grove Baptist Church on Wednesday at 2 pm. The family will observe quiet hours from 1 to 2 at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
