Mrs. Mary Whisenant

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. - Graveside services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Whisenant, of Deerfield Beach, who died July 28, 2003 will be conducted Thursday at 12 p.m. in the Hillcrest Memorial Park. Rev. Frank Thigpen and Rev. Greg Glover officiating. Mrs. Whisenant was a life-long resident of Augusta, having made Deerfield Beach her home for the past two years. She was a member of the New Life Baptist Church and the Lidia Bible Class. Mrs. Whisenant was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Charles R. Whisenant; a son, Johnnie A. Shaw, III, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; a step-son, Robin L. Whisenant, Germany; three step-daughters, Alice Fallaw and Jackie Whisenant, both of Augusta and Peggy Smith, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Sherry Elizabeth Anderson and Angie Shaw; five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Larry Hall, Arlo Ferguson, Keith Moxley, Jack Watkins, Earl Hurd and William Dawson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home of North Augusta in charge of arrangements (803) 278-1181.
