BESSIE WHISENANT

Bessie Whisenant, 91, of Flat Rock, Ala., died Feb. 23 at her residence. Whisenant was a member of Caperton's Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Lena and Hugh Crain of Flat Rock; son and daughter-in-law Charles "Pete" and Norma Whisenant of Flat Rock; sisters Nellie Collier of Huntsville, Ala., Ruby Gaddis of Ringgold; brothers Nick Reed, Beddy Reed and Newby Reed all of Huntsville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and special friend Joyce White McGee. Funeral services were held Feb. 27 at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dean Johnson officiating. Interment was in Haven Memorial Gardens.
