Vera Mae Davis-Dinino, 76, Mooresville, died April 25, 2009, in her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Vera was born May 23, 1932, in Adolphus, Kentucky, to the late Frank and Roxie Mae (Morgan) Whisnand.

Vera graduated from Washington High School in Indianapolis. She worked as a bookkeeper at D.G. & Davis Metals and for Mooresville Schools for a period of time. She attended Mooresville Free Methodist Church and proudly supported many children's initiatives. She also enjoyed crafts, but was especially talented in crocheting doilies, having exhibited them for more than 25 years at the Fall Foliage Festival.

Vera was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold G. "Doc" Davis and Giovanni Dinino; half-brother, William Chandler.

Survivors include her daughters, Elaine Moore of Mooresville, Judi Grebel of Mooresville, Cathy Fortner of Mooresville; stepsons, Harold Franklin Davis of Brownsburg, Kenneth Lee Davis of Mooresville, Roy Dinino of Chesterfield, Michigan, Sergio Dinino of Caldwell, Michigan; stepdaughters, Sandra Sue McPhee of Mooresville, Vicki Lynn Davis of Mooresville; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
