Eva Hammy Whisenant
Funeral for Eva Hamby Whisenant, 77, of Moulton will be Sunday, July 31, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with Bro. Clyde Goodlett and Bro. Waymon Fike officiating.
Burial will be in Mountain Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Whisenant, who died Thursday, July 28, 2005, at Decatur General Hospital, was born Dec. 25, 1927, in Lawrence County to Mance and Mattie Hamby. She worked for Encino Shirt Factory for 25 plus years and was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of Owen Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Hoyt Whisenant; two daughters, Betty Thrasher of Hartselle and Patsy White of Moulton; one sister, Ona Whisenant of Moulton; four grandchildren, Tim Thrasher of Trinity, Christy Thrasher of Decatur, Joshua White of Huntsville and Bethany White of Moulton; and two great grandchildren, Cheyenne Thrasher and Mackenzie Thrasher.
Pallbearers will be Tim Thrasher, Joshua White, Shane Whisenant, Ronnie White, Gay White and Bill Crump. Honorary pallbearers will be Reno Morgan, Gary Hamby, Billy Rhodes and Larry Self.
