Edna L. Whisenant Jeely
ANNISTON — Funeral services for Edna L. Whisenant Jeely, 88, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2009, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Bob Ford and the Rev. Truman Norred officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Jeely died Wednesday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include one sister, Martha F. Brooks, of Anniston; three nephews, Ronald Brooks, Wayne Crabtree and wife, Tina, Dennis Crabtree; four nieces, Diane Mangham and husband, Marty, Deborah Sanderson and husband Howard, Donna James and husband Dan and Debbie Noah and husband, Mickey; several great-nephews and nieces; stepsister, Rita Smith and husband, Wayne, of Ozark; step-brother, Kyle Medders and wife, Robbie, of Jacksonville. Mrs. Jeely is preceded in death by her husbands, James F. Whisenant and Johnny Jeely; her parents, Clemmie H. and Fairy J. Feazell and her sister, Nellie J. Crabtree.
Pallbearers will be Marty Mangham, Shannon Sanderson, Jonathon Bowling, Dan James, Mickey Noah and Wayne Crabtree. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Dorcas Sunday School Class. Mrs. Jeely was a native of Anniston, a graduate of Anniston High School, a long time member of Blue Mountain Baptist Church and a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class.
