EVA WHISENHUNT
Eva Whisenhunt, 82, of the Bad Ridge section of Coeburn, passed away Monday (Oct. 31, 2005) at Wellmont Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap.
She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and a member of Meades Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Mary Dotson; husband, Clarence Whisenhunt; son, Arlen Whisenhunt; five infant children; and one grandchild.
Survivors include daughters, Edith Faye Gay of Locus Grove, Cathy Kirk of Bad Ridge, Coeburn and Rebecca Meade of Carico Ridge, Coeburn; sons, Norman Whisenhunt of Wise, Clarence Whisenhunt Jr. of Caney Ridge and Michael Whisenhunt of Bad Ridge, Coeburn; sisters, Estelle Benson, Geraldine Bryant, Janice Bryant, Josephine Bryant, Effie Dotson, Jacqueline Fleming, Ruth Magner, Irene Marrs, Evie Ramey and Ruby Stanley; brothers, Cecil Dotson, Claude Dotson and Everette Dotson; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with clergyman Jack Meade officiating. Burial will follow at the Whisenhunt Family Cemetery, Bad Ridge section of Coeburn. Pallbearers will be James Whisenhunt, Robert Kirk, Nathan Whisenhunt, Phillips Whisenhunt, Troy Williams and William Williams.
