Jane Lee Turpin Whisenhunt

WHISENHUNT WINSTON-SALEM - Mrs. Jane Lee Turpin Whisenhunt, 76, a cherished, wife, mother and grandmother, of Winston-Salem died Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Whisenhunt was born August 29, 1932 in Bedford, VA a daughter of the late Other Turpin and the late Mary Loury Turpin. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Parrish and two sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Raymond Carl Whisenhunt, grandchildren, Loury and William Parrish, and brother, Caswell Turpin. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 12:00 to 1:30 p.m., prior to the service at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
