Charles Dow Whisenant
Charles Dow Whisenant, age 71 of Hamilton, Montana, formerly of Union Grove passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Discovery Nursing Home. He had moved from Union Grove to Montana about 3 1/2 years ago. He was born May 7, 1938 in Flint, Michigan to Carl and Bertha Jeanette Whisenant. He was an iron worker by trade and was self employed. Charles graduated from high school and had some college. He liked to garden and cook and loved his grand kids and family. Charles lived and died in the beautiful Bitteroot Valley, between the Mountains to the north, better known for the Lewis and Clark Expedition in the 1900's. He was a member of Brock's Chapel Church of Christ.
Charles is survived by two sons: Gary Whisenant of Hamilton, Mt. and Michael Van-Skiver of Aurora, Colorado; two brothers: Jackie Carl (Judy) Whisenant Sr., of Hillsboro, Alabama and Samuel Henry (Penny) Whisenant of Princeton, Indiana; two granddgughters: Kassie and Emma Whisenant.
