Hildreth Jean Alexander

Hildreth Jean Alexander, a former employee of Scott Paper Co., died Thursday at a local hospital. She was 62.

A native of Monroeville, she was a resident of Mobile.

She was also a former crossing guard with the both the Mobile and Prichard police departments.

Survivors include her husband, Norwood L. Alexander of Mobile; one daughter, Poinsettia Hodge of Atlanta; one son, Wendell L. Alexander of Mobile; four sisters, Peggy Chastang of Atlanta, Yolanda Prowell, Cheryl Jones and Melissa Whisenhunt, all of Mobile; and one brother, Clifford Whisenhunt Jr. of Mobile.

Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until the noon funeral at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 804 Farnell Lane. Burial will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery. Hodge's Chapel on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue is handling arrangements.
