Wanda Whisenhunt Glover

TISHOMINGO -- Graveside rites for former Tishomingo resident Wanda Glover, 78, Paden, will be at 2 p.m. today at Tishomingo Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Heard officiating.
Mrs. Glover was born June 26, 1921, at Wewoka, to H.E. and Hallie Steen Whisenhunt. She died May 17, 2000, at her home.
Reared at Sasakwa, she married Frank Glover and moved to Tishomingo. She worked as a seamstress at the Madill Manufacturing Plant many years and moved to Paden following the death of her husband on Oct. 24, 1984. She was also preceded by a son, Walter Johnson in 1994.
Survivors include a daughter, June Collins, Paden; two sons, Frank, Atoka, and Ronnie, Grand Prairie, Texas; three brothers, Huey Whisenhunt, Nicoma Park, Gerald Whisenhunt, Arlington, Texas, and Jerry Whisenhunt, Oklahoma City; a sister, Naomi Nall, Moore; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
