Florence Whisinand

Florence Whisinand, 80, of Fremont died Wednesday, Nov 17, 1999 at Fremont Area Medical Center.

Florence Slatt was born Feb 18, 1919 in Edgar. She grew up in Burt County. She married Floyd Whisinand Feb 27, 1937 in Fremont. He died Oct 1987. They farmed in Burt county until moving to Fremont in1942. She worked for memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont, Fidelity Laundry and Ideal Laundry.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Survivors include; a sister, Lillian Slonsky of Grand Island; a brother-in-law. Harvey Whisinand of Oakland; a sister-in-law, Helen Slatt of Fremont; a niece and caregiver, Lela Richards of Fremont.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church with the Revs Mark Grorud and Norman Freund officiating. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to First Lutheran Church.
