Walter Carver Whisenhunt

Walter Carver Whisenhunt, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, died Thursday at a hospital in Mobile. He was 72.

Whisenhunt, a native of Alabama and a resident of Mobile, was a self-employed entertainer.

Survivors include four children, Corey Whisenhunt of Toledo, Ohio, Irena Foster of Houston, and Breana Young and Walter Young, both of Mobile; one sister, Ina Yvonne Tillman of Mobile; and one brother, Willie J. Whisenhunt of Fresno, Calif.

A private cremation service will take place at Small's Mortuary in Theodore.
