Mary F. Whisenand Fender

BLOOMINGTON — Mary F. Fender, 72, of Bloomington passed away peacefully at Meadowwood Health Pavilion on Thursday, November 20, 2008.

She was born on August 1, 1936, in Bloomington to Robert Wayne Whisenand and Orlene Marie (Cleveland) Whisenand. She was a homemaker and retired from Indiana University in 1990.

Mary is survived by her husband of 33 years, Kenneth Fender; step-son Gary Wayne Fender (Monica) of Bloomington; step-daughters Jenise Fender Porter (Jeff) of Ellettsville and Lana Darlene Fender of Quincy, IN; and grandchildren Kevin Wayne Butcher and Kyla Butcher, both of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Carla Butcher; and first husband, Butch Butcher.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at Clear Creek Cemetery at 2:00 p.m., with Brother Johnie Edwards officiating.
