Carl O. Whisnant

GASTONIA ? Carl Olive Whisnant, 64, 512 Elizabeth Lane, died Jan. 25, 2000, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of Cleveland County, son of the late George Thomas and Alpha Hedrick Whisnant, brother of the late Paul and Clement Whisnant, retired setup man from Wix Corp. after 38 years of service, charter member of First Church of the Nazarene, Air Force veteran.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Ruth Holcombe Whisnant; daughters, Teresa Falls, the home, Cynthia Carter, Cramerton, Alice Timberg, South Dakota, Durine Vestal, Mount Holly; brothers, Lemuel and Arnold Whisnant, Gastonia; sisters, Nadine Cole, Jeanette McDougal, Gastonia; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Thursday, Greene Funeral Service, Westside Chapel, Rev. Roger Huffstetler

BURIAL: Westview Gardens, Bessemer City
