In Arkansas 60 Years. (1945)
Mrs. Mary Whisnant. aged 89, died at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Benjamin Moore, 824 Lewis St.. Thupaday. Mrs. Whiensnt was born in Charlotte. N.C.. but had lived in Arkansas for more than 60 years and in Little Rock, 25 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Valley Springs.
Surviving are three other daughters : Mrs. Media Kerr of Little Rock. Mrs. Ella Tabor of Grand Prairie and Mrs. Etta Hickenbottom of Little Rock; two sons, Elmer Whisnant of Little Rock and Joe Whisnant of Denver. Col: three sisters. Mrs. J.D. Summers of Yellville, Mrs. Jim Wilshire of Ramondville, TX. Alford Pyle of Yellville and three brothers: John Quincy Adams of Yellville; Sam Adams of Yellville; and James Adams of Fleming, Tx.
Funeral arrangements by Owena & Co.
Services will be held at Winfield Methodist Church by the Rev. Kenneth L. Spore at 3:PM Saturday.
Burial in Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Ben D. Moore. William Moore. Sherwood Whisnant, W1llard Whisnant, Hamilton Ragland, and Kenneth Higgenbottom.
