AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Monday December 19, 2005 at her residence Mrs. Hazel Morris Whisnant, age 82 beloved wife of the late Mr. Oscar C. Whisnant. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday December 22, 2005 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Lumpkin Road Chapel with the Rev. Tony Rhodes and Rev. Bobby Renew officiating. Interment will follow in Harlem City Cemetery. Mrs. Whisnant was a native of Rocky Ford GA and had made Augusta her home all her life. She retired from the Graniteville Company Sibley Division with 18 years service. Mrs. Whisnant attended Flowing Wells Worship Center and there was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class. Survivors include three sons, James Edward Whisnant, Augusta, Jeff Barton Whisnant, Grovetown, Dennie Mike Whisnant, Augusta; one daughter, Dorothy Ann Davis, Augusta; 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren; four nieces and four nephews. Serving aspallbearers are Ricky Whisnant, Micheal Whisnant, Todd Laird, Jimmy Laird, Frankie Davis, Steve Dickman.
